The Adjust Button lets you remap the buttons, but this feature is much less exciting in 2023 than it was in 2015. The lack of rumble motors justifies this on a logical level, but the FPS Plus feels a bit hollow on first holding. It is shockingly lightweight compared to most other PS4 pads, from first-party to the cheapest PS4 controller on Amazon. To start, the HORI FPS Plus is one of the lightest controllers I’ve ever used. That said, the immediate impressions come across as pseudo-premium and confusing. Combine that with an asymmetrical joystick design and a classic D-pad, and you have an eye-catching gamepad that I need to try out. That said, better late than never, and I think this asymmetrical controller is still a viable option in 2023. HORI released this PS4 controller alternative in 2015, so GCR is admittedly a bit late to the party.
